Day 1: BRISBANE TO GRAFTON: Friday 01 November 2019 Included Meals (LD)
Welcome to our 3 day tour to the Jacaranda Festival in Grafton. Sit back and relax as we travel south to Byron Bay located at Cape Byron - Australia's most easterly point. Once we reach the coast at Byron Bay we follow the scenic coast road to via Lennox Head to Ballina for a Club lunch and enjoy the sights including a visit to the Maritime Museum and La Balsa Exhibition. It’s here we have the opportunity to see "La Balsa", one of the actual rafts used on the 1973 epic voyage from Ecuador in South America to Ballina. This afternoon we head to Grafton where we settle into our motel for the next 2 nights. Grafton is a city of tree lined streets and graceful old buildings overlooking the Clarence River. As early as 1866 Grafton council resolved to consider by-laws for the planting and preserving of trees and shrubs in the streets and recreation grounds. There are now some 7000 trees in Grafton and many beautiful parks. The most famous of the trees is of course the Jacaranda - the Jacarandas flower at this time each year providing a spectacular setting for the festivities (Club lunch Ballina / Buffet dinner in motel).

Day 3: GRAFTON TO HOME: Sunday 03 November 2019 Included Meals (BL)
We farewell our hosts as today it is time to head for home. We board the coach and head north passing through Maclean, a pleasant little river port, noted for its historical buildings to Yamba, a quiet seaside town on the southern side of the Clarence River estuary. The Yamba Lighthouse is located on South Head, standing 41m above the sea. It offers fine views of the coastline and is a popular whale-watching site in the winter months. Its beams can be seen 17 km out to sea. Nearby is a replica of the original 1879 lighthouse erected by volunteers for use as a community radio station. Here we’ll join Clarence River Cruises for a leisurely 4 hour cruise on the scenic Clarence River including lunch on board with live music. After the cruise we travel on, making comfort stops along the way. We arrive into Brisbane early evening, concluding our great trip away. (breakfast in the motel / lunch on board Clarence River Cruise)
